Well, it looks like we made our first official big decision as a married couple. We are moving. Not only are we moving, but we are building a new house. And not only are we moving and building a new house, we are moving out to the country. Driving out there, you definitely get that country vibe going on as you pass acres and acres of farmland and cows. But, the community we have chosen is a master-planned community so it's like it's own little town that is just made up of our neighborhood. There are two more master-planned communities on either side of us that are actually towns now, so we aren't the only neighborhood out there. Plus, Denton is about 15 miles west of where we will be and McKinney is about 18 miles east of us. So, just enough country without being totally in the middle of nowhere.
But, while we were out there this weekend looking at houses and talking to the builders, we realized just how country it is. We were in the middle of the neighborhood, walking up to a house, and when we looked up across the field (that will be houses in the future) we see a couple of people on horses. Just riding through the middle of the neighborhood like it's no big deal. And that is what sealed the deal for me! I've always wanted to live out in the country but not being a farmer or rancher by trade has kind of put a damper on things. It's hard to have a job in a big city and live in the country. My commute will definitely get longer, but I really hope it will be worth it!
One question, will our friends still come see us out there?
